Abstract
2,6-Bis (p-aminophenyl)benzo[1,2-d;5,4-d′]bisoxazole was synthesized with 1,2,3-trichlorobenzene as the starting material in four steps including nitration, substitution, hydrogenation and condensation with total yield of 70%. In addition, an effective purification method for 2,6-bis(p-aminophenyl) benzo[1,2-d;5,4-d′] bisoxazole was established. In comparison with other methods, there are some advantages in this method: the materials are cheap and easily available, and the product can be used as a monomer in polymerization.
