Synthesis and applications of superparamagnetic magnetite nanoparticles

Abstract

Strategieze the synthesis of superparamagnetic magnetite nanoparticles such as co-precipitation, hydrothermal method, microemulsion, polymer template synthesis and biomineralization were reviewed, and their characteristics were introduced. Several applications of superparamagnetic magnetite nanoparticles, such as drug delivery and targeting, hyperthermia treatment, magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), as well as detection and separation of bioactive substance were introduced.
