Abstract
In this paper, the essence of super water absorbent resin has been explained by the thermodynamics theory. the Flory equation was discussed, and by simplifying this equation the simple relationship between absorption power and exterior saline solution was presented. The reaction between super absorbent resin and water, and the swelling process were also discussed. On this base, some phenomena of water-absorbing and water-retaining were explained.
