Abstract

To solve the problems of complex operation and poor real-time in the traditional SVPWM control algorithm, a novel SVPWM equivalent algorithm based on carrier modulation for five-phase inverter is proposed. Coming from the idea of SPWM symmetrical and regular sampling in which the modulated wave compares with the carrier, the inverter switch triggering time can be directly calculated by using the instantaneous value of five-phase reference voltage. It doesn't need complex coordinate transformations and trigonometric calculations, the calculation accuracy and speed can be improved effectively. The equivalent control performance is indicated through comparison and analysis of the two control algorithms. The results of simulation prove that the new algorithm is correct and feasible.
