Survey of object modeling technique for imaging target tracking

From mathematical model of target tracking, Performance of target tracking is impacted by three main factors of object state transition model, filtering algorithm and object modeling technique. The object modeling is mainly summarized and analyzed, then the feature selection, statistical model of feature and similarity measuring are described. Distortion invariant and discrimination ability for target/background are regarded as the performance evaluation method to compare numerous object presentation models qualitatively proposed in domestic and foreign literatures. The research direction on adaptive selection of object representation model in target tracking is presented.
