Abstract
By use of NURBS method, the surface model of the rotor's vane was proposed. During this process, the extending and the trimming of the vane surface were studied. Combining models of the vane and the quadric surfaces of the rotor, the surface models of the rotor's forging and its die section were obtained. Based on the model, a set of die was designed, and the female die was assembled with 23 die sections. At last, the rotor was formed by isothermal precision forge while the heating temperature for both the die and the billet is 430°C, and its dimension precision, microstructure and ability all accorded with the design requirement.
