Abstract
Viscoelastic damping material is an efficient method to reduce vibration and noise for ship structure. In this paper, the vibration response of frequency dependent viscoelastic material was calculated with finite element iteration procedure. And the correctness of this method was validated. Then the laying technology of viscoelastic damping material on conical shell base with frame was studied. The results show that constrained damping structure on web of base reduces the vibration response of structure efficiently.
