Abstract

The study on dynamic properties of two stage planetary gear train used in large machine device with double helical tooth has not been reported. In this paper, the lateral-torsional coupling dynamic equation is built, and then the free vibration properties are analyzed. The vibration modes are classified into three types: star mode, planet mode, and coupling mode. For each of mode, the relation between inherent frequency and vibration amplitude is investigated in detail by the eigenvalue and mode characteristics.
