Abstract

Considering the change of the grating modulation index, an united analytic formula of the response time for two-beam coupling was obtained by solving the dynamic equation of two-beam coupling. It involves parameters of crystals, incident intensity, full incident angle and signal-pump ratio. The experimental results of using Ce:KNSBN crystal are in good agreement with the theory qualitatively.
