Abstract
Yttria stabilized zirconia (YSZ) electrolyte was fabricated by plaster casting method. The pure cubic fluorite structure can be obtained after the samples were sintered at the temperature of 1300 °C. Measuring and calculating results show that the crystal grain size increases and hole size decreases as the sintering temperature is raised. At the same temperature, the conductivity of grain is almost the same, but the grain boundary conductivity are different. The active energy of grain and grain boundary sintered at 1300 °C, 1400 °C and 1550 °C are 0.82, 0.66, 0.86 and 0.98 eV respectively.
