Study on the correction model of aero-engine exhaust gas temperature

Abstract

The aging of aero-engine gas path components will cause the increase of exhaust temperature, lower the thermal efficiency. The directly measured exhaust temperature was height or not can not been determined as the external environment was very different on the aircraft cruise conditions. The exhaust temperature must be convert into the temperature on a stable external environment, it was called correction. Analysis on the exhaust temperature deviation results of engine manufacturers performance monitoring software was carried out, according to the similarity in fluid mechanics theory, the new correction model was proposed different on the correction model by aircraft maintenance plant's bench test, and the unknown factors can be calculated using function approximation method. The exhaust temperature was converted in the new model proposed in this paper, and the temperature deviation was calculated, the temperature correction model can bench close to the engine manufacturer's model than the model by aircraft maintenance plant's bench test by the results comparison.
