Abstract
Sewage can be a low temperature heat energy source in urban area due to large heat capacity. In this paper, three kinds of applications of sewage-source heat pump in the process of sewage treatment are introduced. And a new reuse plan using disposed sewage as a heat source to heat raw sewage is presented to solve the problem that sewage temperature is low in sewage biologic treatment in cold region. Then according to the status of one medicine factory in Harbin, China, its schematic and characteristic are introduced. This paper reports the development of the heat pump system model. And with the model developed, system performances under an actual condition are simulated. The results show that the novel system is feasible to be utilized in sewage treatment in cold climate for its energy-saving and high efficient characteristic.
