Study on seismic performance and construction measures optimization of precast fabricated RC integration shear wall

Abstract

For precast fabricated RC shear wall structure, a new kind of integration shear wall structure was proposed, which adopted the integration construction and fabrication method to construct the infilled wall with hollow pipes together with the wall legs. Five geometrically identical double-leg RC shear wall specimens with identical reinforcement in wall legs and coupling beams were constructed and tested under cyclic lateral loading to study the seismic performance of three types of walls, i.e. the integration wall, masonry infilled wall and wall without infill. The failure mode, stress feature, shear capacity, deformability, stiffness, ductility and energy-dissipating capacity were obtained. The test results show that, under cyclic lateral loading, precast integration shear walls fail due to the combined action of bending moment and shear force. Compared to the specimens infilled by masonry and without infill, integration shear wall owns better shear capacity, stronger stiffness and reliable seismic performance. Based on the finite element software OpenSEES, results of the quasi-static experiment were validated by FEA results of hysteretic curves, skeleton curves and the strain of longitudinal reinforcement. In addition, reasonable structural measures for the infilled precast integration shear wall were proposed according to the results of experiment and FE analysis.
