Abstract

In order to meet the positioning requirements for stereo mapping of single-linear-array CCD camera (SLAC), the influences of SLAC geometric errors on positioning accuracy are investigated. The positioning accuracy assessment model is established, which can offer theoretical foundation for analyzing and quantifying geometric specifications of camera. Firstly, the errors of the geometric calibration and image point measurement (GIME) impacting stereo positioning are analyzed according to the characteristics of stereo mapping of SLAC. Secondly, based on space forward intersection formula, the model for the relationship between them is deduced mathematically, and then the variations of the positioning accuracy with GIME are presented. Finally, the model is verified by taking IKONOS satellite data as an example.
