Abstract

The principle of pure digital pulse width modulation (PWM) of the three-phase AC motor is analyzed. Based on an integrated digital signal processing (DSP) motor controllers ADMC331, the software of sinusoidal wave-triangular wave, equal null impulse and sinusoidal+triple-harmonic wave-triangular wave PWM schemes is worked out. Merits and demerits of the three PWM schemes are compared, and experiment results indicate that equal null impulse and sinusoidal+triple-harmonic wave-triangular wave PWM schemes have approximate characteristics. The application rule of sinusoidal+triple-harmonic wave-triangular wave PWM schemes in actual project is obtained.
