Abstract
The tribological property of carbon fiber (CF)/PTFE filled with different content was studied. Effect of loading, sliding speed, mass fraction of CF and mass fraction of PTFE on the wear resistance of the composites was investigated. The results show that CF could significantly improve the wear resistance of CF/PTFE composites, especially in high loading. The experimental results show that wear could be reached at the optimum conditions: sliding speed 2.835 m/s, mass fraction of CF 29.5%, mass fraction of PTFE 26.6% and loading 100 N.
