Abstract

The quick adjustable capacity of units in power system is an important means of maintaining stable frequency and is very limited. According to the difference of adjustment performance of units and the characteristic of daily load curve, an AGC units grouping and time-sharing control strategy is proposed. During load emergency period all adjustable capacity in system should be fully used for tracking load. In the load steady period the power of fast units is replaced by slow units' so that they can keep certain quick adjustable capacity in system and reduce the units inadvertent reverse adjustment. It is proved to be feasible and effective via simulation study.
