Abstract

The study of various soft-switching welding power is a main developing direction in recent years. A novel zero-voltage-switching (ZVS) full-bridge (FB) pulse-width modulated (PWM) inverter resistance welding power source is introduced. The inverter resistance welding power source is controlled by an industrial processing computer (IPC), and the insulated gate bipolar transistors (IGBT) driven by improved EXB841 are used as the power switches in the inverter circuit. The research conclusion shows that the inverter resistance welding power source can work reliably and stably, and has sensible protection function for overcurrent in the circuit. By optimizing circuit parameters and programming software properly, power switches can be operated with zero-voltage-switching (ZVS).
