Study on forced cooling technology of steam turbine after shut-down

Abstract

Forced air cooling is a reasonable shut-down cooling mode of steam turbine. Through numerical simulation, this paper has studied the distribution of cooling air flow between inner-shell and outer-shell and the temperature control rule of cooling air. The results are useful for the design of forced cooling system.
