Abstract

Far infrared spectra of Mn-doped BaTi4O9 were investigated. As the content of Mn-doping increased, a weak reflectance peak shifts from 364cm-1 to 381cm-1, and the peak at 296cm -1 is strengthened. A Kramers-Kronig transformation to the reflectance spectra was carried out to study the dispersive curve of the real and imaginary parts of the complex dielectric constant. The content of Ti 4+ increases with the increasing doping amount, which lead to strengthening of a shoulder-peak in 250cm-1-300cm-1, weakening of an abnormal dielectric dispersion and strengthening of Ti-O-Ti stretching vibration around 500cm-1.
