Abstract
Ti-based alloy sheet fabricated by Electron Beam Physical Vapour Deposition (EB-PVD) has been alumetized by powder investment, and the phase evolution of sheet at the different temperature has been studied. The results show that the phases of the original state were Ti and Ti3Al. The diffraction peaks were widen and asymmetrical. The microstructure was compact, uniform and no precipitation. The phase were Al3Ti when alumetized at 600°C and 620°C, and the phase of the center of the sheet is Ti3Al. Microstructure of the side and center is compaction. The interface between different phases was smooth, and the structure was still compact. However the phase of the alloy sheet was Al3Ti when alumetized at 700°C, the Al element concentrated in some micro-area and the structure was also compact, constituent and homogeneous.
