Under the perspective of cultural security, the urban culture, which will deeply affect the city planning and construction, needs to be protected especially. This paper, which takes cities in Northeast China as an example, analyses five currently existing status issues of the urban cultural landscape in northeast cities, and resolves that their deep-seated cause is the question of the urban culture. In this paper, some urban cultural security risks of the cities in northeastern China are proposed and several strategies from a cultural perspective are put forward to the protection of the urban cultural landscape. In the end, the paper indicates that more extensive and deeper study should be done to protect the urban cultural landscape.
