Abstract

Green Infrastructure is a concept who integrates ecological functions and services with basic urban infrastructure. It can provide the high quality natural and built environment for the existing cities and its future through the multifuctional ecological network. As the combination of artificial and natural landscape, urban wetlands possess special landscape characteristics and can provide unique ecological services. The paper will conduct a study of the Songjiang Wetlands as typical urban wetlands through the methods of applying Green Infrastructure into assessing the conservation and benefit of the landscape ecological resources, and put forward a framework of ecological protection and development accordingly.
