Study of measures about climatic environment safety in the central pedestrian street of Harbin

In order to make planning and design of commercial pedestrian streets meet the comfort and safety needs of users' activities under macro and micro climate in winter cities, the Central Pedestrian Street of Harbin is taken as an example to make analysis about its climatic environment safety. Through field observation and computer simulating to climatic environment of this pedestrian street, some hidden dangers on safety brought about by macro and micro climatic environment in the street are proposed and analyzed from the view of assurance of climatic environment safety. Based on this, with the combination to the existing situation, some counter-measures about climatic environment safety are put forward in several aspects including site selection of public activity space, site layout of public activity space, architectural design and facility planning.
