Abstract
Solid electrolyte of SrCe0.9 Gd0.1O3 with proton conduction was sintered by solid-reaction method, and the properties of a fuel cell with this material as the electrolyte were also investigated. The results show that the output voltage depends on temperature. The phenomena should be contributed to the complex conducting mechanism of this electrolyte. By studying the impedance spectroscopy of the electrolyte material in the working environment of a fuel cell, we found that the conducting types vary with the variation of atmosphere. According to the results of this experiment, the best working condition of this kind of electrolyte was also determined.
