Abstract

A conducting polyaniline (PANI) was prepared by emulsification through H2O-toluene-dodecybenzene sulphonic acid (DBSA) system. Molar ratio of DBSA/AN(Aniline), (NH4)2S2O8/AN, and drop wise time of (NH4)2S2O8 were studied in this process. Considering the post-treatment and improving the emulsifying process, product yield was greatly raised and after-treatment procedure was simplified via the multiple emulsion technology. FTIR, XRD, XPS were used to identify the composition of final products, and the wave absorbing property for product was measured. The experimental results indicated that the product was doped very well by DBSA; the products had a part of crystallization phenomena and it presents thermal stability. PANI/DBSA showed good wave absorption with 9.31 dB, and the width of frequency band attenuation over 9 dB is about 1 GHz.
