abstract = "The outside structure of Zhuhai Opera House is steel space structure, while the stresses of steel elements changes by environmental temperature variations. In the other hand, the structural health monitoring system of Zhuhai Opera House was implemented, where the temperatures and stresses of the structures are being monitored. The measurements of temperature and stresses of the steel elements are used to analyze the relationship between the stress distribution and the temperature variations. Except the measurements of stresses and temperatures of the structure, the further simulation analysis is carried out to give the detailed relationship between the stress distributions and the temperature variations. The temperature distribution of the structure is simulated by the limited temperature measurements, and the finite element model of the Zhuhai Opera House steel space structure is built to analyze the stress distribution of all the steel elements of the structure. The aims are to reveal the stress distribution of real world project with steel elements based on the temperature variations and to supply the basic database for the optimal construction time of steel space structure closure.",
