Static analysis of inclined-strut system cable dome

Abstract

By considering the deficiencies of Geiger system and Levy system a new type of cable domes named inclined-strut cable dome is proposed. The structural morphology, the static performance of inclinedstrut cable dome system with the span of 60 m were analyzed. The laws of the effects of some basic parameters such as rise-span ratio, number of nodes at each ring and so on, on the displacement and the amount of materials were obtained as well.
