Abstract

For the accumulated error of SOC estimation based on Ampere-hour method, a series of charge-discharge experiments with constant currents and over NEDC, FUDS, DST driving cycles were carried out on nickel-hydrogen batteries. The impact of accumulated measurement error of current sensor on Ampere-hour method was studied when electric vehicles run for a long time. In this paper, Ampere-hour method is simulated for the three kinds of driving cycles and a calibration method for Ampere-hour method when using current sensor with general accuracy is studied. The comparison between simulation and experiment results shows that the method greatly reduces the impact of the current sensor measurement error on Ampere-hour method, and the calibration frequency of Ampere-hour method.
