Abstract
Rimed turbine blisks is efficient and reliable. Its fluid flow passage is semi-enclosed with crank-ling blades, and its pressure surface and suction surface are both free-form surface, so manufacturing rimed turbine blisks is very difficult. Aimed at blisks' electro-discharge machining (EDM), a special CAD/CAM system based on Solidworks is developed to implement the blisks'3-D reconstruction, electrode designing and machining, searching optimized machining trace for EDM, and emulation of machining, etc. To test performance of the special CAD/CAM system, a typical part is fabricated, which is a rimed turbine blisks of a liquid rocket engine.
