Abstract
The satellite signal design of radar-communication integration employing OFDM frame is studied. Satellite communication and moving target detection is accomplished simultaneously using the signal we designed in this paper. The questions on how to choose OFDM modulation parameters which affect both radar and communication are analyzed. The signal design criteria are not only accuracy of distance and speed measurements for radar sensing but also data rate and data error rate for communication channel. Finally, an optimum solution for both applications is proposed and its simulations for moving target detection and image transmission indicate the practical feasibility of radarcommunication integration.
