Abstract
Large numbers of contradictory problems generally consist in the design of the architectural interior space. So it is necessary to study the measure to solve the contradictory problems between the practical requirements and spatial form of the architectural interior space. On the basis of extenics, using the leading idea of transformation and one of the tools of matter-element theory, namely, base-element, and combining the theory with the architectural interior space theory, the thesis tries to set up space-element and extension model to describe the space contradictory problems. It provides a new method to describe space relation and solve the space contradictory problems, and provides a process model from quantitative change to qualitative change for the architectural inner space problem solving. It presents the law of change process formally and even provides many possibilities and scientific basis for innovation interior space designs. Meanwhile, the thesis tries to provide logic premises for computer to solve the interior space contradictory problems intellectualized.
