Abstract

The paper presents a attitude control algorithm which only uses the reaction wheel for small satellite large angle attitude maneuver and carries out the corresponding hardware in the loop simulation to validate the correctness of algorithm by three-axis air bearing table and other hardware. Focusing on the constraints of slew rate and control torque, the paper uses cascade-saturation logic to reorientate the satellite body along the instantaneous eigenaxis successfully. To validate the correctness of designed control algorithm, the paper uses the three-axis air bearing table simulation system to carry out the large angle attitude maneuver Hardware-In-the-Loop simulation. And the simulation results indicate that the algorithm can efficiently accomplish the rapid attitude maneuver.
