Abstract

Cosine-intersect control method has been adopted widely in the control of digital cycloconverter, which can reduce the harmonics in the output voltage. However since its control reference is an ideal voltage curve, when it is need to control sinusoidal current output, there are many harmonic contents in the output current. The proposed slope approximation control method calculates the load current and controls it directly by simple calculation and hardware, it can improve the quality of output current, and reduce the harmonic contents obviously.
