Abstract

This paper describes a new six-Axis heterodyne interferometer system which is developed for joule balance to measure the relative displacement between the exciting coil and suspended coil. In order to eliminate the periodic nonlinearity error in interferometer, the relative displacements were locked as the integral multiple of half of the laser wavelength. This method has been validated through the experiment.
