Abstract
Due to be lack of the acoustic radiation characteristics and experimental data comparison in the noise analysis of motor by ANSYS-a finite element method(FEM) software, the paper presented a co-simulation method with ANSYS and SYSNOISE-a boundary element method(BEM) software. The structural dynamic model of a permanent magnet direct current(PMDC) motor was built, and the vibration frequency response analysis results were transferred to the SYSNOISE as the boundary conditions for calculating the acoustic pressure frequency response function. With the comparision of simulation and experimental data, the maximum relative error is 8. 5% and the engineer design requirements were met. The pre-processing and import of structural grids and boundary conditions were especially presented, and compatibility problems of the two softwares were solved. The calculation speed was accelerated with the method by the advantages of the two softwares. The simulation results are intuitive and convenient to be compared with the experimental results.
