Abstract

This paper presents the results of developing low-voltage X- and Ku-band magnetrons with two RF energy outputs. The simulation results of the azimuthal distribution of the π-mode and the amplitude spectrum of spatial harmonics for the symmetric location of the RF outputs (both active and passive) are provided. For the antisymmetric location of the RF outputs, the characteristics of the electromagnetic field distribution of the π-mode are shown when changing the reactive load of the passive RF output. In both cases, the presence of the RF outputs disturbs the symmetry of the π-mode distribution in the interaction space, enriches the spectrum of spatial harmonics, and increases their amplitudes. The results obtained are in good agreement with the experiment.
