Abstract

As an attracting low level heat source, industry sewage is an ideal low temperature heat source for water/water or water/air heat pump for its little fluctuating temperature during the whole heating period. Heating in winter and cooling in summer can be realized by using water-source heat pump which extract/release heat to/from industry sewage, which accords with a sustainable development idea in designing heating, ventilation and air conditioning systems. A sewage-source heat pump system was simulated according to status of sewage in one medicine factory in Harbin. The main operating characteristics of it, such as heating capacity Qc, input electric power N, and coefficient of performance (COP) in heating in different operating conditions in a whole heating period were obtained which are quite energy-conservative and economical.
