Abstract

The monitoring of blades is a very important problem for the safety of blade machinery running at high speed. A method has been developed to analyse and recognize the signals of blade faults, based on symmetry principle and similarity principle, making use of the means, variance, and means of variance to eliminate the effects caused by the parameter differences between blades, the trend curves of means of variances will distinguish the bad blades from the normal blades.
