Abstract

Sidelobe suppression method of adaptive patterns of ADBF at subarray level with planar phased array is studied. The signal model of two-dimensional ADBF at subarray level is constructed suitable for any planar phased array. The conventional two-dimensional ADBF at subarray level is analyzed and the two-dimensional ADBF at subarray level based on subspace projection is introduced. A combined method of conventional method and subspace projection method is presented for improving the flexibility of suppression on sidelobe and reducing output SINR loss. Simulation results indicate that the combined method can suppress sidelobe markedly and obtain output SINR very approximate to that of optimum beamformer simultaneously.
