abstract = "In this research, numerical simulation with soil-water coupled finite element analysis is conducted to investigate the settlement behavior of a piled-raft foundation subjected to train loading (speed: 300km/h). To demonstrate the performance of the constitutive model, the undrained cyclic triaxial test was compared with the simulation result, and it showed that this model could well illustrate the mechanical behavior of Shanghai clays. The settlement of the foundation soil within one-year train loading was then numerical analyzed, and the simulated results suggest that without proper treatment, more serious settlement would have occurred, which is unacceptable in engineering terms.",
