Abstract
This paper presents a novel structure of self-driven active-clamped forward power converter with output ripple-cancellation. The output ripple-cancellation structure can improve the output filter by using coupling inductor and additional DC blocking capacitor. Auxiliary winding of transformer is used to drive the active-clamped switch, and clamp circuit can make the drive voltage be stable with changing input voltage or duty cycle. The operation principle and experimental results are shown in this paper, which has the maximum efficiency of 93%.
