Abstract
Genetic induce mutation of high efficiency anaerobic hydrogen-producing bacteria employs as the guarantee to whether or not the technique of biohydrogen production can breach the restriction of low substrate utilizing efficiency and implement its industrialization and commercialization. This paper deals mainly with the mutagenesis under different lengths of ultra-violet radiation of one hydrogen producing fermentation bacterium B49 chose to make mutation. The high efficiency hydrogen-producing bacteria were obtained following the procedure; first randomly screen out one thalli, then enlarge their culture, finally detect the hydrogen producing capability comparing with the original bacteria. Through tests and comparison, a high efficiency hydrogen-producing bacterium BY492 was obtained. After the hereditary stability test, RHY31 was eliminated, while the increase was 8.4% for the ratio of H2-producing rate.
