Abstract

Although the traditional seismic structural system can ensure the safety of the structure through reasonable design, they mainly rely on the damage of the main structure to dissipate seismic energy. It is found that a reasonable setting of buckling-restrained braces in structures can effectively reduce the damage to structures. However, the research on buckling restrained braced structures and self-centering buckling restrained braced structures are not inadequate, and the research and analysis are not comprehensive enough. In this paper, the finite element software ABAQUS/Standard is used to analyze and compare the effects of traditional buckling-restrained braces and self-centering buckling-restrained braces on frame structures, the seismic performance of them are evaluated.
