Abstract

In order to study the seismic behavior and seismic design of single-layer reticulated shells with semi-rigid joint system which is connected by bolts, the seismic capability of Kiewit reticulated shells with bolt-joint system was systematically analyzed based on the bend stiffness of bolt-joint system. The effects of different spans, high-to-span ratio, bend stiffness, roof load, types of bars and seismic wave on natural frequency and seismic internal force coefficient were analyzed for different large-scale shells. Then the internal force coefficient value of shells with semi-rigidity of joint system was summarized by a comprehensive numerical analysis. The design method of single-layer reticulated shells with semi-rigid joint system based on the revised seismic internal force coefficient was proposed.
