Abstract

The seismic performance of the concrete shear wall without and with tube filled with concrete is studied based on the nonlinear finite element method (ANSYS5. 7). The failure modes, stress distribution, energy dissipating, deformation and ductility and the ultimate strength of the two kinds of shear wall are calculated. The calculating results agree well with the experimental results.
