Abstract

Satellite-missile bistatic SAR system can realize forward-looking imaging that cannot be achieved by monostatic SAR systems. In addition, the satellite can irradiate a wide range of scenes on the ground as a transmitter, which has a high military and civilian value. However, most research on the satellite missile bistatic SAR focuses on the imaging of static targets, the research on maneuvering target imaging is relatively less. In this article, a hybrid SAR-ISAR algorithm for ship target imaging in the satellite missile bistatic SAR system is proposed. Firstly, the modelling method of satellite missile bistatic SAR system based on coordinate system conversion is introduced. On this basis, the echo signal model is given and analysed. Next, the hybrid SAR-ISAR imaging method is described at length. Finally, the efficiency of the hybrid SAR-ISAR method is demonstrated by simulation results of the imaging of a ship target.
