Abstract

With the explosive growth of Earth observation demand, the real-time and reliable transmission of massive remote sensing data has become one of the current research hotspots. To address the issues of intermittent link disruptions caused by the high-speed movement of Low Earth Orbit (LEO) satellites during the transmission of remote sensing data, as well as the non-uniform data collection load caused by the difference of land surface regions, this article proposes a HAP caching assisted LEO-Geostationary Earth Orbit (GEO) cooperative remote sensing data backhaul architecture. Simulation results show that the proposed scheme has a significant gain in the total number of backhaul tasks under low delay, and the resources allocated to different LEOs are more evenly distributed.
