Abstract

A reentry maneuver technique for single moving-mass reentry vehicle is researched. The single moving-mass reentry vehicle has simple atmospheric layout. However, as the magnitude of lift force of reentry vehicle with fixed angle of attack is not controllable, the control of the flight path can only be achieved by roll-axis control action. An improved Rolling Guidance Law is presented based on the basic rolling guidance law. Considering the influence of gravity, gravity coefficient is chosen. The correctness of guidance method is proved, and the calculation method of the rolling-guidance command is also given. With the right choice of guidance coefficient, the precision can be improved. The accuracy is of the improved rolling guidance law is better than the basic one shown as the results of simulation.
