Abstract

This paper investigates robust passive Altering of a class of linear uncertain switched systems with time-varying delays. The transition from one subsystem to another in systems is governed by a certain rule. The objective is to design linear memoryless passive filters such that for all uncertainties, the resulting filtering error system is robust stable independent of time-delay and satisfies the proposed passive performance. Based on Lyapunov stability theory, a sufficient condition on the existence of robust passive filters is derived. Robust passive filters are designed in terms of linear matrix inequalities. Furthermore, a convex optimization problem with LMI constraints is formulated to design robust passive filters with the maximum dissipation rate. A numerical example demonstrates the effect of the proposed design approach.
